Gilroy Sports Park to Gavilan College Trail Feasibility Study:
RI Engineering was a sub consultant to the landscape architecture firm Bellinger Foster Steinmetz to develop a alternative alignments for a 1.5 mile pedestrian and bicycle trail from Gavilan College to the City of Gilroy’s sports complex. A large component of the work was to determine the location of a bridge crossing over Uvas Creek, a major creek the Santa Clara Valley Water District’s water shed. Our firm identified feasible locations for the bridge crossings as they related to anticipated flood elevations in the project vicinity, and provided cost estimates for construction of the proposed trail and bridge crossing.
