RI Engineering, Inc. is a civil engineering consulting firm founded in 2004. We are a certified Small Business located in Santa Cruz and primarily serves the Monterey and San Francisco Bay regions with extensive experience working with the public and private sector, and specialize in designing site improvements that fit with the environment and meet the needs of the end user.  Our focus is on providing high quality design, finding creative solutions to project challenges and being highly responsive to our client’s needs. 

 

Richard Irish, PE

 

Founder and principal engineer at RI Engineering, Richard has worked in the industry for almost 40 years, and has proven his skills through successful design and coordination of hundreds of projects in the Monterey Bay Area, California and the Northwest. Richard has a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from San Jose State University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner and a Qualified SWPPP Developer.

Mark Grofcsik, PE

 

Mark brings decades of experience in the civil engineering design to RI Engineering. His experience in land development, environmental, structural, hydrology & hydraulic design, construction inspection, and project management make him an indispensable asset to the firm. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, and spent three years working with the Maryland State Highway Administration and three years working on pavement rehabilitation projects with PENNDOT before joining RI Engineering in 2012 Mark is a Qualified SWPPP Developer and Qualified SWPPP Practitioner.
