RI Engineering provided civil engineering for a new recycled water laboratory on the campus of the Watsonville Wastewater Treatment Plant for the City of Watsonville and Pajaro Valley Water Management Agency. Design elements included the access road, parking lots, ADA accessible walkways to the laboratory, a trail connection to the Pajaro River Levee trail, storm water collection and treatment facilities.  The storm water facilities were designed to meet low impact development standards.  RI Engineering designed biofiltration swales and an enhanced wetland detention facility.  The project earned LEED platinum certification.
